LAKESIDE INN on White Lake in Whitehall is now taking applications for the coming summer season.

We have openings for the following positions:

DINNER WAITERS AND WAITRESSES—(must be 18 years old).  Shifts are 5:30 to 11:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday (5 nights a week).  You will serve dinner and cocktails to the guests at their table.  You are also responsible for setting up the kitchen to serve and clean up when serving is over.

COCKTAIL WAITRESS AND/OR HOSTESS—(must be 18 years old).  Shifts are 5:00 to 11:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday (5 nights a week).  You will greet dinner guests and serve them cocktails or beverages as they wait for their table.  You will also seat the guests as their tables become available.  You may also assist the servers by serving coffee or water and clearing and resetting tables on occasion.

BUS PEOPLE—(must be 16 years old).  Shifts are 6:30 to 11:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday (5 nights a week).  You will clear and reset tables, assist servers with carrying trays, pouring coffee and water, and various other duties in the dining room.  You will help clean up the kitchen when serving hours are over.

FRONT DESK RECEPTION—(must be 16 years old).  Shifts are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 to 11:00 p.m.  You will greet guests at the front door, answer the phone, make dinner or room reservations, and give information on our Inn or the area.  You will also run the cash register, credit card machine, check people in as they arrive for their room reservations, check people out as they depart, and help with the gift shop as needed.

KITCHEN JOBS—(must be 16 years old).  Shifts vary depending on the job.  Some jobs are in the morning during continental breakfast.  Other jobs are in the evening during dinner.  Some job possibilities are breakfast cook, dinner grill cook, dinner fry cook, dinner assistant cook, dinner salad preparation.

DISHWASHER—(must be 16 years old).  Shifts are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 5:00 to 11:00 p.m.  You will operate the automatic dishwasher, wash and put away pots and pans, put all dishes away, clean up dishwashing area when finished, and take trash out to dumpsters.  Morning dishwasher will sweep and mop floors in kitchen and wash out trash cans.

YARD MAINTENANCE—(must be 18 years old).  Shift is from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  You will assist taking care of the lawn by mowing grass, watering grass and flowers, and clipping hedges.  You will also clean the pool and game room.  Repair skills are a plus.

HOUSEKEEPING—(must be 16 years old).  Shifts are 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday), 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Saturday), and 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Sunday).  You are responsible for cleaning the motel rooms and housekeeping units.  You will make beds, clean the bathrooms and do the basic cleaning of the rooms.  You will also stock the supply rooms and carry dirty linen and trash to proper areas.
